Mike Pritchard Memorial Golf Tournament – 2013
It was a record turnout at the Mike Pritchard Memorial Golf Tournament this year. On July 6th 188 golfers came out to enjoy a day of golf and community spirit in remembrance of Mike Pritchard. Their support raised $15,363 (!), with half of the total going to the Roland Fund and the other half to the Carman Golf and Curling Club Fund, both within the Carman Area Foundation. This is a great tribute to the life of a wonderful young man.
The Roland Fund, which continues to grow through the proceeds of this tournament and ongoing individual donations, provides grants to further the community of Roland. The Carman Golf and Curling Club Fund was set up in 2013 and is the Area Foundation’s newest fund. Monies in this fund will be used primarily for the promotion, education and development of golf and curling in the Carman Area.
